Our Programs

Culturally Safe & Responsive
Leadership & Organisations

This program aims to foster dual cultural competency, bridging the divide between Indigenous and Non-Indigenous cultures through transformative learning and authentic conversations.
Our approach will provide a more profound understanding of Aboriginal identity, leadership, and the importance of strategic alliances in a culturally responsive environment.

  • Initial Engagement: Our journey begins with an exploration of the current reality, introducing participants to the concept of dual cultural competency and assessing readiness for the program.

3-Day Immersion: Participants will be immersed in critical discussions and activities that uncover the complexities of Aboriginal culture, history, and the impact of current day realities. This immersive experience is designed to provoke thought, create dialogue, and build a pathway forward.

Workshops: Following immersion, we offer interactive workshops that allow for reflection, development of action projects, and discussion about moving forward. These workshops are tailored to address specific organisational needs such as institutional racism and creating safe environments.

2-Day Immersion: Further immersion is provided, partly co-created with participants, focusing on the value of dual cultural competency, creating a collective environment, and code-switching between values.

Presentation Workshop: Participants will have the opportunity to present their action project and outline the journey from their current reality to the future.

Coaching: Post-program coaching and mentoring are available, focusing on leading competently in a dual cultural manner.

  • We offer three tiers of implementation for the program to suit various needs:

Basic Understanding: This introductory package includes the initial engagement, current reality assessment, and a 3-day immersion experience.

Deeper Dive: Building upon the Basic Understanding package, the Deeper Dive also includes workshops, a 2-day immersion experience, and an action learning project to embed dual cultural competency into the organisational drivers.

Embedding the Learning into Practice: This comprehensive package includes everything from the Deeper Dive plus additional coaching for leading in a dual cultural competent manner.

Introduction to Authentic Dual
Cultural Leadership

This program helps you unlock the potential of transformative leadership during an immersive three-day journey. Delve into
the intricacies of Indigenous culture, experience profound connections to the land, and tackle complex societal issues
head-on. This exploration aims to pave the way for an authentic dual culture within your organisation, promoting understanding, respect, and unity.

  • Offsite Immersion: Over the course of three days, leaders will be removed from their usual environments and distractions. This allows for a focused, intensive introduction to what an authentic dual cultural leadership looks like.

Engaging Discussions: Participants will have the opportunity to explore personal values, delve into the Aboriginal jigsaw, and understand the impact of Intergenerational Trauma on mindsets. Challenging yet crucial conversations surrounding concepts like white fragility, dispossession mindset, and privileged positions will be encouraged.

On-Country Experience: A key aspect of the program is understanding the importance of connection to country, and what this means within an Indigenous context.

Future Planning: Following these rich discussions and experiences, leaders will be guided in planning for an organisational approach that fosters an authentic dual culture. We will consider the next steps for individual leaders and the collective organisation.

Enhancing Culturally Responsible Schools

This program is designed to elevate schools beyond basic cultural awareness to become authentically culturally responsive. Through creating environments where both Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal students can flourish, we focus on equipping staff with a comprehensive understanding of Australia's journey over the last 40,000 years and its impact on the present and future.

  • 5-Module Journey: Over six months, we provide staff with an in-depth exploration of what it means to be an Aboriginal Australian. Through a series of five modules, we discuss a range of issues from traditional Aboriginal culture, to history and contemporary issues, fostering a dual cultural approach.

Interactive Engagement: Our program utilises interactive tools such as the "Journey of Wellbeing," the diversity group, and the "Zortokian Experience" to develop participants' capability in a dynamic way.

Implementing Cultural Standards: Our program allows your school to demonstrate the implementation of the five standards from the Aboriginal Cultural Standards Framework.

Flexible Delivery: Depending on your school's preference, the program can be delivered as five 60-minute modules, across two half-day workshops, or a one full-day workshop.
